Life After Trauma: A workbook for healing by Rosenbloom, Williams, and Watkins
This workbook helps you dig deep. Life After Trauma urges you to really explore yourself in relation to your situation as well as how to build your personal strengths. It is a good resource to have if you'd like to start the healing journey and a great complement to psychotherapy / counseling / coaching. It's filled with activities that when done right can help you gain a valuable perspective. For practitioners, the workbook guides you through a step-by-step process that will be beneficial to your client.
Forgiveness: 21 Days to Forgive Everyone for Everything by Iyanla Vanzant
This book is so good, it's already convinced me to start tapping also known as an Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT. What I love about Iyanla Vanzant is how absolutely real she is. In her book, Forgiveness, she shares her own experiences and basically gives us a sneak peek into what has worked for her. While her method and strategy may not appeal to all, I picked up this book because I figured, I could use more knowledge on how to improve my forgiveness game. The thing about life is that just when we think we've healed one thing, there are triggers that activate so many other areas of our lives. And even though we may have mastered a mantra or a chant to help us get through tough times, I still think that there is value in looking at other ways to heal a situation. Iyanla doesn't just introduce EFT - though I'm already doing it - she gives you worksheets that allow you to be HONEST with yourself.
While your life may seem to run smooth, I still encourage you to pick up this book and find courage in forgiving practically everything around you - including yourself.
